Abstract
Si la névrose résulte, comme l’avance Freud, de l’excès de renoncement qu’exigeait la société d’hier au nom de son idéal culturel, on est en droit de se demander si les néo-sujets d’aujourd’hui ne seraient pas le symptôme de la liberté à laquelle nous pouvons désormais prétendre dans le cadre d’une société fondée sur la prévalence de l’individu. C’est à lire les effets du bouleversement anthropologique atteint depuis un demi-siècle que nous nous sommes attelés. Ce dernier a en effet atteint autant les individualités que le fonctionnement du collectif entraînant avec lui des confusions qui s’avèrent délétères pour la construction de la subjectivité. Confusion entre fonction patriarcale et fonction paternelle comme entre sujet citoyen et consommateur hypernarcissique. Nous nous confrontons dès lors, maintenant que nous en sommes à la troisième génération, à un véritable « cancer sociétal » qui en aurait terminé avec l’autorité, l’altérité et l’antériorité, trois règles non écrites qui pourtant caractérisent toujours la condition humaine. Ce n’est alors qu’en retournant à ce qu’exige notre statut d’être parlant – de parlêtre aimait à dire Lacan – que nous pourrons réinventer, au-delà de l’idéologie, un équilibre entre les exigences individuelles et les contraintes civilisationnelles.
