Abstract
La pandémie de COVID-19 nous a accompagnés tout au long de ce projet d'écriture.Elle nous a rappelé, ainsi qu'aux contributeurs et contributrices, que malgré les promesses de lendemains technologiques radieux, le futur demeure incertain, ouvert et prêt à nous surprendre.Dans cet esprit, cet ouvrage propose des clés pour pondérer des visions trop enthousiastes du futur technologique, souvent forgées par une poignée d'acteurs optimistes.Nous remercions toutes les personnes qui ont su répondre, avec leurs contributions originales, à notre invitation à interroger les dimensions historiques, politiques, économiques et sociales des promesses, ainsi que leurs conséquences sur le développement de la science, de la technologie et de la société.Cet ouvrage n'aurait pu voir le jour sans leur engagement.Nous remercions également le Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie (CIRST), et
