Abstract
À l’aide de trois exemples cliniques, ce texte explore les déterminants de ce que l’auteur désigne comme « phénomène du coucou », c’est-à-dire la propension de certains participants de groupes de psychothérapie à occuper davantage de place, et notamment à monopoliser le temps de parole, au détriment d’autres membres du groupe. Ce phénomène, au-delà de la problématique du participant « coucou » ainsi que des enjeux de rivalité, s’avère une formation groupale découlant des attentes transférentielles régressives favorisées par le groupe. Il paraît déterminé par diverses attentes transférentielles, incluant l’attente d’un objet maternel puissant, pouvant répondre à un grand besoin de soutien, la tendance à combler le manque d’un tel objet, ou l’attente d’un père protecteur face à cet objet maternel archaïque désiré et craint tout à la fois.
