Abstract
A síndrome hemofagocítica na pediatria é uma condição rara, mas potencialmente fatal, caracterizada por uma resposta imunológica hiperativa que resulta na ativação excessiva de células do sistema imunológico, como linfócitos e histiócitos, levando a uma inflamação sistêmica e danos teciduais. Investigar a eficácia das diferentes modalidades de tratamento disponíveis. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Adotou-se como pergunta norteadora: "Qual é o impacto da síndrome hemofagocítica na pediatria em termos de manifestações clínicas e quais são as abordagens terapêuticas mais eficazes para tratar essa condição em pacientes pediátricos?" Para construção da pesquisa, a coleta e análise de dados foi realizada através do Portal da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e das bases de dados Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online via PubMed e Google Acadêmico através dos seguintes Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS): “Linfo-Histiocitose Hemofagocítica”, “Pediatria” e “Diagnóstico” combinados entre si pelo operador booleano AND com seus respectivos correspondentes no Mesh Terms. Após o cumprimento dos procedimentos metodológicos, 12 artigos disponíveis no Portal da BVS, na base de dados PubMed e no Google Acadêmico foram selecionados, os quais retratam que uma das principais características clínicas da síndrome hemofagocítica na pediatria é a presença de febre persistente, que geralmente é acompanhada por sintomas não específicos, como fadiga, perda de apetite, dor abdominal e hepatoesplenomegalia. A síndrome hemofagocítica na pediatria representa um desafio clínico significativo devido à sua natureza rara e complexa, exigindo uma abordagem multidisciplinar e agressiva para diagnóstico e tratamento.
