Cet ouvrage vise à faire connaître les intentions de création d’artistes de théâtre dont les spectacles ont été présentés lors de la Biennale Zones théâtrales 2015. Il s’adresse tant au public qui suit avec attention l’évolution théâtrale de la francophonie canadienne qu’aux artistes professionnels et aux diffuseurs qui y participent. Conçue au sein du Centre national des Arts, sous la direction artistique de René Cornier, cette biennale a constitué un témoignage de la richesse de créateurs et de l’imaginaire collectif de ce contexte. Pour nourrir le dialogue avec les artistes qui y ont pris part, un ensemble de chercheurs et d’auteurs passionnés de théâtre ont accepté de les rencontrer et d’écrire à partir de ce qu’ils avaient à dire parce que trop peu d’écrits documentent les processus de création qu’ils ont mis en œuvre. C’est ainsi que chacun des chapitres de cet ouvrage permet de mieux comprendre les sous-textes des spectacles et des lectures présentés lors de la biennale 2015 et d’en saisir la portée artistique et sociale.
