Les résultats de la plupart des élections provinciales survenues depuis 2018 ont été interprétés comme le signal d’un retour de la droite au gouvernement. Mais est-il possible de parler de retour ou d’une « vague bleue » qui serait similaire d’une province à l’autre? Les différences entre les droites ne l’emportent-elles pas sur les ressemblances? Au-delà des étiquettes faciles, l’objectif du collectif est de s’interroger sur ces questions en examinant les droites au Québec, en Ontario et en Alberta ainsi qu’au Nouveau-Brunswick. Mariant des perspectives comparatives entre les partis et des études de cas des dirigeants et intellectuels politiques, les textes réunis ici visent à cerner la nature idéologique des discours et des programmes des ténors des droites provinciales. Cette approche permet de suivre leur évolution récente, jusque dans les premiers mois de la pandémie. Enfin, une attention particulière est accordée à l’épineuse question du populisme et du radicalisme pour voir comment ces phénomènes, qui sont présents depuis longtemps dans les provinces, se traduisent aujourd’hui dans le contexte canadien.
