Abstract
Actualmente recibimos con mucha frecuencia pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas autoinmunes (ERA) tratados con dapagliflozina (Forxiga) o empagliflozina (Jardiance), prescritos por motivos tan diversos como insuficiencia cardiaca, proteinuria u obesidad. En un estudio observacional multicéntrico (Boston y Calgary) se identificó que de 488 pacientes con ERA a 386 se les prescribió empagliflozina, 54 dapagliflozina y 48 canagliflozina. La mayoría (77,25%) de esta población tenía diabetes tipo, enfermedad renal 58,40%, obesidad 36,48% e insuficiencia cardíaca 32,17%. Se torna imperativo saber su mecanismo de acción y por qué pueden ser útiles en nuestros pacientes con ERA.
