Abstract
Le 25 septembre 1669, un étudiant au collège de Navarre, Louis-Marcel de Coëtlogon, commande au graveur Nicolas Pitau 1500 épreuves d’une estampe, enluminée et comprenant les positions de thèses, tirée sur un papier dont il remet un échantillon. L’estampe représente Louis XIV, d’après un tableau de Claude Lefebvre. Coëtlogon paye pour cela 2000 livres, en trois versements, le dernier ayant lieu le 19 mars 1670. Malade, Pitau a fait appel à l’aide du jeune graveur Gérard Edelinck.
