Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This editorial introduction commences with the aims and scope of the book and details the backgrounds and contexts in which the Canadian offshore school programs originate and operate. The chapter also outlines the organization of the book in three interlocking parts. Part I, “Borders, partnerships, and bordering capabilities”, examines the wider contexts of operation of certified offshore school programs. Part II, “Navigating entangled workplaces”, delves into offshore school programs as workplaces in which the actors’ meaning-making is a salient attribute of work. Part III, “Pedagogical encounters and their discontents”, examines the viability of pedagogical work in certified offshore schools. Under each part, which is consisted of two to three chapters, a brief introduction to each chapter is provided.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
