Abstract
Use of electronic scientific journals by professors and students from the course of graduation at the Instituto de Geociências at the USP Abstract This research analyzes the acceptance and utilization of scientific electronic journals by the teachers and students of post-graduation course of São Paulo Geosciences University for the purpose of identifying the possibility of using it at the library as a facilitator/intermediator of this process. 178 questionnaires were sent with a rate of 79.8% of reply. The results show that the teachers and post-graduation students utilize electronic journals as a routine in their activities of teaching and research, although printed literature is still widely used. The major difficulty has been the identification and selection of the most adequate information resources, what opens up a range of possibilities for its performance at the library. Issues, for instance, as information preservation and storage, assurance of access as time goes by, development of reliable interfaces and availability of retrospective collections have to be defined and solved for the acceptance of scientific electronic journals. Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
