Parabolic reflector (PR) antennas are commercially applied to the two Wi-Fi frequencies of 2.4 and 5 GHz in this conference paper. For the generation of vortex waves, a high gain and directive antenna structure is proposed here with PR. It is a unique feature of electromagnetic (EM) waves to have vortex or orbital angular momentum (OAM). OAM technique (known as conical pattern with twisted phase plane) can theoretically increase radio frequency links' capacity and diversity with infinite characteristic mode numbers. On the other hand, it is challenging to implement it in practice due to divergence of pattern and reception quality and capability. Therefore, the PR structure can be considered a promising method to improve the vortex feature of a signal at the generation section. For a long-range dense link, a PR antenna at 24 GHz is designed to address issues related to high order vortex modes (mode 6). This frequency spectrum and other higher frequencies are used to increase the capacity of the backhaul network.
