Abstract
: La représentation de la folie a traversé les arts, et offre des représentations et des interprétations extrêmement variées. Aujourd’hui, la folie n’est plus un diagnostic clinique, mais la polysémie de la notion en fait un terme très large, qui est aussi bien attribué à l’excès d’une émotion ou d’une réaction qu’à des actes inexpliqués, des attitudes incompréhensibles. La folie est un thème récurrent dans le metal, et comme pour les autres représentations artistiques, son exploration offre des perspectives variées et prétend rarement à un discours scientifique. Cette intervention propose une étude de la représentation de la folie dans deux morceaux : « Black Waltz » (Avatar, 2012) et « Puppe » (Rammstein, 2019), par l’analyse des paroles, de la musique, et du visuel (vidéoclip ou interprétation scénique). Ces deux chansons installent progressivement une représentation de la folie du narrateur, principalement par un déséquilibre, et l’exploitation d’une certaine violence.
