Abstract

Článek pojednává o unikátně dochovaném renesančním epitafu rytířské rodiny z oblasti jihozápadní Moravy. Autorsky epitaf patrně souvisí se štukovou dekorací a vybavením kaple Všech svatých na zámku v Telči. Dílo bylo vytvořeno technikou kombinující kamenickou práci a štukatérství a opatřeno polychromií, která měla zřejmě imitovat nákladnější materiály, např. mramor. Jelikož byl epitaf patrně již v první polovině 17. století překryt monochromním nátěrem a až do roku 2018 neprošel žádným restaurátorským zásahem, lze studovat původní povrchové úpravy dochované v mimořádném rozsahu.
