Gas Detection Utilizing Soliton Effect Pulse Compression in a Hollow Core Photonic Crystal Fiber
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Gas detection finds various industrial applications, and diverse techniques have been employed for this purpose. A recent addition to these methods involves leveraging hollow core photonic crystal fiber. Due to the hollow nature of its core, it can be filled with the target gas for sensing, allowing light to pass through. This paper introduces a novel sensing technique utilizing the evolution of ultra short pulses in hollow core photonic crystal fiber. When ultra-short pulses are introduced at one end, the pulse propagates through the fiber, but the shape of the pulse changes for different sensing materials because of different fiber properties. Consequently, gas sensing can be achieved by analyzing the compression of the pulse, the changed peak power of the pulse at the output end. A minimum compression sensitivity of 64% and maximum power increment of pulse of 369.07 W have been achieved for CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> .

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
