Abstract
Quelles sont pour les syndicats les conséquences de leur réorganisation à l’échelle métropolitaine ? Sur la base d’une enquête menée dans la métropole d’Aix-Marseille, peu après sa création, l’article apporte une réponse à cette question en examinant les changements qui s’opèrent sur le travail de représentation syndicale. L’analyse de ces changements suggère que les perceptions du travail militant et de ses rétributions sont très inégales selon les profils, assurant tendanciellement le bonheur des « inoffensifs », si on entend par là les profils où la conflictualité sociale est absente de la trajectoire et de l’identité militante.
