Abstract
This article aims to analyze the work of the poet from Pernambuco Carmem Pedrosa, considering themes and predominant procedures adopted by the author in the construction of poems, as well as present a reading proposal. This work is justified by the need to give visibility to the poetic production of cordelista, considering the importance of its production. We present an analysis of the book Vitória Régia, the author’s only publication. It will also be performed an analysis of excerpts from the poem "As I find poetry", considering thematic, formal dimensions, and the context of production, among other aspects. And finally, we will present a reading proposal in the classroom, under the theoretical basis of the subjective method, defended by Rouxel (2014).
