À partir de cas québécois, l’article illustre les apports analytiques d’une approche qualitative de sociologie de la connaissance pour l’étude des pratiques d’« intérêt général » chez des entrepreneurs en coopératives de travail. Celles-ci sont interprétées comme des réactualisations contemporaines de la logique de l’économie du don canadienne-française, et dont il s’agit d’exposer les conditions socioéconomiques d’expression et d’absence. Il est révélé que, chez les personnes en ayant fait l’apprentissage, la logique du don ne disparaît pas. Plutôt, elle se transfère ou prend de l’expansion à la mesure de l’intégration dans des réseaux de collaboration propres à ces secteurs.
