Abstract
Les travaux réunis dans cet ouvrage témoignent de la richesse et de la diversité d'un champ d'études en expansion.Prétextant une réflexion sur les publics de la culture, c'est en fait de la démocratisation de l'accès à la culture dont il était question dans le colloque organisé par l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières l'an passé.D'une part, ce colloque transdisciplinaire entendait réunir des chercheurs pour débattre tant des résultats de leurs travaux que des fondements théoriques et méthodologiques sur lesquels repose leur démarche.D'autre part, il s'agissait aussi pour les participants de s'interroger sur une possible convergence de ces résultats dans l'espoir qu'ils puissent être utiles aux acteurs des milieux culturels et de l'éducation 1 .Ce questionnement participe d'un débat plus large sur l'accès à la culture.1.
