Abstract
Le nouveau récit des frontières est un voyage au coeur des transformations de la littérature de voyage depuis la deuxième moitié du XXe siècle. Qu'ils soient étatsuniens, québécois, antillais, mexicains, brésiliens ou autochtones, les auteurs des romans analysés dans Le nouveau récit des frontières ont tous une relation d'appartenance avec le continent qu'ils décrivent dans leurs oeuvres. Lorsqu'ils traversent les frontières, ils décrivent la sphère de l'autre et recréent en quelque sorte un nouveau territoire, en pénétrant, en déplaçant et en réinventant ses frontières. Les analyses regroupées ici ont été faites à partir d'un corpus de romans issus de ces auteurs de récits de voyages provenant des quatre coins des Amériques. Elles montrent comment le récit de voyage devient récit de frontières et décrivent les nouveaux territoires qui se profilent dans ce contexte. Elles convient le lecteur à explorer les frontières de l'Amérique à partir de parcours multiples, porteurs de cultures en mouvement.
