Статья посвящена истории создания, конструктивной и стилистической эволюции «берлины», одного из видов экипажа, примером которого может служить хранящаяся в Реставрационно-хранительском центре Государственного Эрмитажа карета — яркий образец рокайльного стиля, получившего распространение во второй четверти XVIII в. The article discusses the origins, constructive and stylistic evolution of the Berlin carriage, one type of carriage an example of which — a striking specimen of the Rococo style that gained popularity in the second quarter of the 18th century — can be found in the Restoration and Preservation Centre of the State Hermitage Museum.
