Pelabuhan Umeputih terletak di Pulau Saparua dibangun pada tahun 2003 di Negeri Kulur. Pelabuhan Umeputih sendiri difungsikan sebagai sarana transportasi laut bagi penumpang, kendaraan, dan barang dengan lintasan penyebrangan ke Pelabuhan Waai di Pulau Ambon, Pelabuhan Wailey di Pulau Seram, dan Pelabuhan Nalahia di Pulau Nusalaut. Mengingat begitu pentingnya peran pelabuhan Umeputih dalam menunjang proses transportasi bagi barang dan jasa maka perlu diketahui bagaimana pengaruh Pelabuhan Umeputih dalam menunjang aktivitas sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat di Pulau Saparua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa sejauh mana pengaruh dari Pelabuhan Umeputih terhadap sosial ekonomi masyarakat Pulau Saparua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Analisa Statistik Deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa dari segi Ekonomi Pelabuhan Umeputih memiliki pengaruh dalam proses dristribusi barang pokok ke Pulau Saparua sehingga akan berdampak juga pada biaya hidup masyarakat di Pulau Saparua. Dari segi sosial, Pelabuhan Umeputih berperan untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam melakukan aktivitas perjalanannya dari dan menuju ke Pulau Saparua sehingga maksud dan tujuan perjalanan dari masyarakat dapat dicapai.
