Abstract
Actores americanosEl proyecto de la filmación de Zama que la directora salteña Lucrecia Martel concluyó en 2017, tras un largo proceso de adaptación de la novela homónima ( 1956) del escritor mendocino Antonio di Benedetto, desató un fenómeno de reflexión y exégesis que transformó la recepción de la novela.Esto se debió en buena medida al sitio eminente de Martel en el panorama cinematográfico contemporáneo y al insólito giro que la novela adquirió al ser adaptada al cine.Con este giro se añadieron otras dimensiones culturales que realizan variaciones audiovisuales y diegéticas respecto al proyecto original de Di Benedetto y refunden Zama.En ambos proyectos emergen actores históricamente explotados por el hombre europeo en el continente americano; estos actores son en principio los indígenas de la región del río Paraguay, pero también algunas entidades americanas que devoran la misión criolla: los animales y los paisajes del Gran Chaco, donde la película fue rodada.En cuanto a los personajes, en ambos proyectos aparecen la cuestión étnica y sus representaciones, así como el reparto americano (en el sentido de las dramatis personae y también de la extracción de los actores de la película).
