Les rsultats de l'industrie canadienne de l'assurance de dommages en 2001Selon le BAC, l'estimation pour l'anne 2001 du rendement des capitaux propres des assureurs s'tablissait 3 %.Les bnfices ont chut de 52 %, pour atteindre 581 millions de dollars, soit le quart de ceux raliss lors de la dernire bonne anne de l'industrie, en 1997.On observe que la hausse des primes en 2001 a t annu le par une sinistralit plus leve.Sur le plan des souscriptions, les pertes furent encore plus marques que celles de l'an 2000, soit une variation de 26,8 %.Voici les principales caractristiques tablies par le BAC pour le dernier trimestre et les quatre trimestres de l'anne 2001, compa rs ceux de l'anne prcdente :(en millions de dollars)
