Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The cross section of the process <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:msup><a:mi>e</a:mi><a:mo>+</a:mo></a:msup><a:msup><a:mi>e</a:mi><a:mo>−</a:mo></a:msup><a:mo stretchy="false">→</a:mo><a:msup><a:mi>π</a:mi><a:mo>+</a:mo></a:msup><a:msup><a:mi>π</a:mi><a:mo>−</a:mo></a:msup></a:math> has been measured in the center of mass energy range from 0.32 to 1.2 GeV with the CMD-3 detector at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000. The measurement is based on a full dataset collected below 1 GeV during three data taking seasons, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about <d:math xmlns:d="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><d:mn>62</d:mn><d:mtext> </d:mtext><d:mtext> </d:mtext><d:msup><d:mi>pb</d:mi><d:mrow><d:mo>−</d:mo><d:mn>1</d:mn></d:mrow></d:msup></d:math>. In the dominant <f:math xmlns:f="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><f:mi>ρ</f:mi></f:math>-resonance region, a systematic uncertainty of 0.7% has been reached. At energies around <h:math xmlns:h="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><h:mi>ϕ</h:mi></h:math>-resonance the <j:math xmlns:j="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><j:msup><j:mi>π</j:mi><j:mo>+</j:mo></j:msup><j:msup><j:mi>π</j:mi><j:mo>−</j:mo></j:msup></j:math> production cross section was measured for the first time with high beam energy resolution. The forward-backward charge asymmetry in the <l:math xmlns:l="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><l:msup><l:mi>π</l:mi><l:mo>+</l:mo></l:msup><l:msup><l:mi>π</l:mi><l:mo>−</l:mo></l:msup></l:math> production has also been measured. It shows a strong deviation from the theoretical prediction based on the conventional scalar quantum electrodynamics framework, and it is in good agreement with the generalized vector-meson-dominance and dispersive-based predictions. The impact of the presented results on the evaluation of the hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of muon is discussed. Published by the American Physical Society 2024

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
