Abstract
O artigo tem como objetivo defender a escola republicana e o conhecimento como um bem comum como forma de assegurar uma educação realmente democrática e inclusiva. Sob enfoque teórico, está alicerçado, sobretudo, nos estudos de Masschelein e Simons (2018) no que tangencia ao conceito de escola republicana e em de Dardot e Laval (2017) no que diz respeito à ideia de conhecimento como um bem comum. Quanto à caracterização da pesquisa, define-se como um uma investigação teórico-bibliográfica, de corte analítico. Em termos estruturais, o texto divide-se em três seções: i) aborda o conceito de escola republicana; ii) o conceito de conhecimento como um bem comum; iii) a escola como um espaço de constituição dos “comuns” do conhecimento. Por fim, nas considerações finais, aponta-se como a ideia de escola republicana e de conhecimento como um bem comum podem ser alternativas à consolidação de uma sociedade mais justa e, verdadeiramente, democrática.
