Abstract
Au Québec, la nécessité d’une transition écologique juste a récemment pris la forme d’une négociation pour les organisations syndicales en vue de l’introduction des clauses vertes dans les conventions collectives locales. En s’appuyant sur une analyse qualitative d’entretiens (n=15) auprès de représentants de la Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ), la plus grande centrale syndicale québécoise, et d’un répertoire de bonnes pratiques produit à l’interne, cet article a pour objectif de comprendre le rôle du dialogue social et des stratégies syndicales face à la crise écologique. Il insiste plus particulièrement sur le dialogue social au niveau de l’établissement, afin d’expliquer la nature des clauses vertes et leur faible présence dans les conventions collectives au Québec. Nos résultats appuient trois pistes, à savoir (1) que les récits climatiques et environnementaux ainsi que le compromis institutionnel portent à réinventer les clauses plutôt qu’à en introduire de nouvelles, (2) que les syndicats cherchent encore une légitimité sur les questions écologiques et (3) qu’il existe un décalage persistant entre les structures centrales et la négociation collective locale à la FTQ.
