Abstract
Prenant appui sur une dialectique de repères théoriques multidisciplinaires et une démarche autobiographique de petit groupe (DAPG) comprenant huit récits de vie d’apprenantes inscrites aux études supérieures en travail social, les connaissances présentées dans ce texte montrent que l’identité professionnelle en travail social se construit et évolue au cours de l’ensemble du parcours de vie. Elle est traversée par de multiples tensions, à plusieurs niveaux, notamment entre l’identité personnelle et l’identité professionnelle, entre sa propre histoire de vie et celle des destinataires de l’intervention, et, enfin, entre les organisations et les personnes qui y travaillent. L’identité professionnelle se construit de deux points de vue : celui du sujet-acteur et celui d’autrui. Ainsi, la construction de l’identité professionnelle en travail social évolue entre le désir, le besoin et l’exigence de reconnaissance. Un schéma de la nouvelle théorisation de la construction de l’identité professionnelle en travail social est proposé, lequel constitue l’aboutissement de la DAPG.
