Abstract
The article aims to analyze the results of the Quebec provincial elections in 2018 and 2022 and show their impact on the development of the French-speaking province. The author believes that the Quebec elections changed the existing party-political situation in Quebec and challenged the long-standing ideology of the Parti Québécois related to the achievement of Quebec sovereignty. In the author’s opinion, the election results were significant not only for Quebec, but for Canada as a whole. The pan-Canadian authorities are interested in the calm and progressive development of Quebec. At the same time, the victory of the Coalition for the Future of Quebec has not finally removed from the agenda the idea of holding a third referendum on the sovereignty of Quebec, as it can be realized if the Quebec Party returns to power
