Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This transdisciplinary chapter delves into decolonial or anti-colonial restorying to un/settle the settler colonial mind through deep listening to Indigenous voices, engaging a praxis of aurality, as essential to interrupt the coloniality of relations in the Americas. It enacts a methodology for addressing epistemological realities of settler coloniality, recognizing the role of Christian churches, through a study of records of United Church of Canada (UCC) history and theologies. By noting the lacuna and settler colonial erasure of Indigenous leadership in the UCC through three volumes written and edited by UCC theologians, the chapter engages in the decolonial healing acts of restorying Indigenous leadership. This engagement mirrors processes for critical decolonial reading needed in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary education in order to transform the understandings and frameworks of relationality as bedrock for creating a decolonial or anti-colonial world.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
