Abstract
Montréal, l’hiver Photographies d’Antoine Rouleau On dit de l’hiver en ville qu’il est sale et gris, comme si la beauté de cette saison résidait uniquement dans la blancheur immaculée des étendues de campagne. L’hiver en ville recèle d’autres splendeurs, certes plus subtiles, mais riches de paradoxes reposant sur la notion même d’urbanité. Antoine Rouleau a pris l’hiver au mot et, de son objectif, a saisi des prises de vue qui le documentent avec finesse. Les images qui résultent de son travail sont parfois anecdotiques, parfois universelles, souvent intrigantes. Elles recensent d’importantes caractéristiques esthétiques de l’hiver urbain.
