Abstract
ABSTRAK Kearifan lokal upacara marak lauk di sungai adalah tradisi budaya yang menggambarkan perilaku manusia dalam memanfaatkan sungai untuk dikonsumsi ikannya, guna mencukupi kebutuhan pangan. Upacara marak lauk merupakan warisan budaya leluhur yang diekspresikan untuk memuliakan alam sebagai titipan Tuhan. Tradisi budaya marak lauk mengajarkan bagaimana cara yang layak dan pantas dalam menangkap ikan. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk melihat bagaimana proses upacara marak lauk dan persepsi masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana persepsi masyarakat masih melakukan upacara lauk ini sebagai bagian dari kearifan lokal yang perlu dilestarikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upacara marak lauk dilakukan sebagai bentuk perwujudan manusia dalam menghormati dan menghargai lingkungan alam dan mahluk halus penunggu sungai. Semua rangkaian acara sangat terstruktur, terintegrasi, memiliki standar operasional prosedur walaupun tidak tertulis. Inilah bentuk kebudayaan adiluhung masyarakat sunda Kampung Parakansalam desa Nyalindung kecamatan Cipatat kabupaten Bandung Barat dalam menangkap ikan di sungai. Semoga tradisi ini bisa membangun kesadaran masyarakat, dan pemerintah dalam memelihara lingkungan sungai. Kata kunci: Upacara Marak Lauk, Pemangku Adat, Sungai, Persepsi. ABSTRACT The local wisdom of the marak lauk ceremony in the river is a cultural tradition that describes human behavior in using the river to consume fish in order to meet food needs. The marak lauk ceremony is an ancestral cultural heritage expressed to glorify nature as a gift from God. The widespread cultural tradition of marak lauk teaches how to properly and appropriately catch fish. Qualitative research methods were used in this research to examine the process of the marak lauk ceremony and public perceptions. The aim of this research is to see how people perceive that they still carry out this side dish ceremony as part of local wisdom that needs to be preserved. The results of this research show that the marak lauk ceremony is done as a form of human manifestation of respecting and appreciating the natural environment and the spirits that guard rivers. All series of events are very structured, integrated, and have standard operating procedures, even though they are not written. This is a form of noble culture of the Sundanese people of Parakansalam Village, Nyalindung Village, Cipatat Sub-District, West Bandung Regency, in catching fish in the river. Hopefully, this tradition can build public and government awareness about maintaining the river environment. Keywords: Marak Lauk Ceremony, Traditional Authority, Perception.
