A Sociedade Galega de Historía Natural é unha das ONGs medioambientalistas máis antigas do estado español. Ó longo dos seus cáseque cincoenta anos de existencia vén desenvolvendo un labor de divulgación de estudos e comunicación de iniciativas e loitas sociais ó redor da defensa do patrimonio natural galego. Neste ensaio faise un percorrido polas publicacións, actividades e eventos promovidos máis salientables da SGHN, verbo da visión de biodiversidade que a organización propón, asi como ó respecto das metas dos ODS.
