Abstract
Sous la direction de Étienne Berthold et Nathalie Miglioli Le patrimoine culturel connaît actuellement un petit âge d’or qui se manifeste autant par la multiplication des objets et des héritages immatériels que par le développement des institutions patrimoniales ou encore par l’adoption de politiques du patrimoine. À l’université, le patrimoine gagne sans cesse en popularité. En général, les chercheurs l’abordent non plus comme un « donné » qu’il s’agirait de décrire et de caractériser, mais plutôt comme une manifestation dynamique résultant d’une construction sociale empreinte de représentations et d’idéologies. La première partie de cet ouvrage explore les multiples questions que pose le patrimoine dans les domaines de l’histoire, de l’ethnologie, de la géographie et de la philosophie. La deuxième partie revisite, pour sa part, des acteurs, des concepts et des catégories discursives qui ont structuré l’histoire de l’art du Québec, proposant ainsi une réflexion épistémologique novatrice dont la discipline ne saurait faire l’économie.
