Abstract
Este artigo objetiva investigar a relação público e privado na educação básica funcionando como modalidade neoliberal (Laval, 2019) de privatização sob o contexto do modelo de gestão do Ensino Médio Integral (EMI) em Sergipe (Teles, 2023). Desse modo, foram necessários aportes teóricos que excedem a Linguística Aplicada (Zacchi, 2016) para fundamentar sociopoliticamente questões levantadas durante o texto, como o ensino integral e o neoliberalismo pedagógico (Freitas, 2018). O estudo se dá por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que utiliza os documentos de implantação e manutenção do EMI em Sergipe (Sergipe, 2016a; 2016b) para análise e triangulação de dados. Assim, buscamos reconhecer a presença do setor privado na máquina pública de modo a transpor o modo de funcionamento desta nas engrenagens daquela. Tal ação resultou no reconhecimento dos riscos destas parcerias que atacam a escola pública de gestão pública e contribuem para uma crise democrática na educação que põe em funcionamento uma agenda oculta por trás do discurso de busca por qualidade total, justificando a relevância desse estudo.
