This paper aims to explore strategies and methods for cultivating innovation abilities in college English teaching, emphasizing the importance of these skills in the current global context. The paper begins by analyzing the issues present in the current college English teaching model, such as monotonous content, traditional teaching methods, and a lack of innovation. Subsequently, it proposes a series of strategies to foster innovation, including innovative classroom teaching, diversification of extracurricular activities, and the use of modern information technology. Through empirical research, the paper confirms the effectiveness of these strategies and offers relevant recommendations.
