Neste trabalho, refletimos sobre os 25 anos do Núcleo de Pesquisa, Documentação e Referência sobre Movimentos Sociais e Políticas Públicas no Campo (NMSPP), analisando suas contribuições para a justiça de transição no Brasil. Quando da criação das comissões da verdade, entre 2012 e 2013, o NMSPP já possuía conjunto significativo de documentos sobre as lutas camponesas, indígenas e as violações de seus direitos, deflagradas durante a ditadura empresarial-militar de 1964-1985. Tal acúmulo permitiu que pesquisadores/as do NMSPP atuassem junto à Comissão Camponesa da Verdade e Comissão Estadual da Verdade do Rio de Janeiro, seguidas de projetos de extensão e pedidos de reparação, experiências aqui relatadas e analisadas. Devido às especificidades da repressão no campo, tais investigações ajudaram a dar centralidade a um conjunto de violações que vão além das categorias incorporadas pelo direito internacional, que muitas vezes limitam as iniciativas da justiça transicional a um conjunto restrito de violações.
