Pembahasan terkait metode belajar diluar studio cukup jarang dibahas di diskursus pendidikan arsitektur di Indonesia. Padahal sebagai metode pembelajaran alternatif, metode belajar luar studio mampu memberikan berbagai manfaat terhadap pengembangan pola pikir dan kreatifitas mahasiswa. Pada era pembelajaran MBKM Kampus Merdeka yang sedang berkembang beberapa tahun belakangan ini memberi peluang untuk lebih banyak melakukan proses refleksi pedagogi pengajaran di perguruan tinggi, termasuk arsitektur. Artikel ini bermaksud memberi sumbangsih pemikiran kebermanfaatan kegiatan luar kampus yang berasal dari refleksi pedagogis kritis pada kegiatan KKN Tematik Kampus Merdeka yang terjadi di Desa Baturetno. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisa isi epilog mahasiswa yang berkegiatan di desa yang dikombinasikan dengan amatan pada aktivitas action research yang berjalan hampir satu tahun lamanya. Berdasarkan proses analisa yang menggunakan pisau bedah Freireian didapati empat hal yang menjadi output kegiatan pedagogis ini yakni kedalaman pengalaman, pembelajaran dialogis, kemampuan berefleksi dan pengelaborasian skills. Temuan pada point terakhir menjadi sebuah alasan kuat untuk terus melakukan eksperimentasi dan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan MBKM di ranah arsitektur terutama yang berkaitan langsung dengan kebermanfaatannya terhadap pembangunan Desa.
