Afin d’assurer une inclusion respectueuse des perspectives des Premiers Peuples dans le système scolaire québécois, il importe d'accompagner les futures personnes enseignantes vers le développement d'une posture professionnelle culturellement appropriée. Cette recherche s’intéresse à l'expérience de personnes étudiantes ayant suivi un cours sur les perspectives autochtones en éducation offert à la Faculté d'éducation de l'Université de Sherbrooke. Les résultats conduisent à brosser un portrait évolutif de leur positionnement sur le continuum de la sécurisation culturelle, au début et à la fin du cours. Il s’y dégage une progression jusqu’au niveau de la sensibilité culturelle, donc un développement de la réflexion sur l’agir culturellement compétent, sans pourtant passer à l’action. La discussion mène à la proposition d’une définition de l’humilité culturelle pédagogique comme posture d’engagement à privilégier dans la pratique enseignante, en plus de soulever les limites et retombées potentielles de l’étude.
