Abstract
Tratou-se de um estudo exploratório-descritivo, sob abordagem qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso subsidiado pela Teoria das Necessidades Humanas Básica de Wanda Horta e Modelo Calgary de Avaliação Familiar o qual objetivou-se desenvolver o processo de enfermagem no contexto familiar de um adolescente com esquizofrenia. O levantamento dos problemas de enfermagem possibilitou a identificação de cinco diagnósticos de enfermagem concernentes às esferas biopsicossociais, diante dos quais foram elaboradas intervenções intuindo a minimização dos danos acarretados pela patologia no contexto familiar. O referencial utilizado permitiu contemplar os objetivos propostos, permitindo constatar a importância da atuação do enfermeiro frente à assistência familiar tenho pessoa com esquizofrenia.
