Indonesia memiliki berbagai peninggalan sejarah kerajaan di masa lampau, salah satunya bernama Kerajaan Majapahit. Kerajaan Majapahit merupakan salah satu kerajaan terbesar di Indonesia yang berpusat di daerah Trowulan, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Kerajaan ini memiliki berbagai situs peninggalan. Mulai dari candi, kolam pemandian, dan berbagai benda peninggalan lain. Salah satu Candi peninggalan Majapahit di Trowulan adalah Candi Tikus. Candi ini ditemukan di bawah permukaan tanah pada tahun 1914 oleh warga sekitar. Namun, saat ini banyak remaja atau bahkan orang dewasa yang kurang mengetahui berbagai situs peninggalan sejarah di daerahnya. Dalam perancangan media promosi tersebut, perancang menggunakan metode Design Thinking yang dimiliki Tim Brown dengan tahapan yang dimulai dari empathy, define (penentuan), idea (gagasan), prototype, dan test (uji coba) dengan hasil yang diupload dalam web komik Webtoon. Dari hasil data yang diperoleh melalui survei, perancangan komik digital ini dikatakan memiliki kategori baik dengan menunjukkan indeks skor 87, 58%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perancangan komik digital sebagai media promosi Candi Tikus di Mojokerto dapat menjadi alternatif media promosi untuk remaja dan masyarakat umum.
