Abstract
Dans son premier récit autobiographique, La Vie ordinaire (2020), Adèle Van Reeth développe une réflexion sur les expériences de la vie ordinaire (vivre en ville, déménager, devenir mère, écrire un livre) au croisement de l’écriture du quotidien et du discours essayistique. Dans ce texte hybride, le dédoublement de la voix narrative entre le présent évoquant des actes et gestes concrets du jour le jour et des rappels indirects d’un passé où la narratrice étudie la philosophie de la vie ordinaire (Stanley Cavell) à l’Université de Chicago, déploie les tensions entre la perception et l’intellectualisation du quotidien. Ayant recours aux distinctions que fait Bruce Bégout entre les notions de « quotidien » et d’« ordinaire » (2005), nous montrons que Van Reeth s’interroge sur les frontières entre l’expérimentation sensible (l’attention aux détails) et la théorisation du quotidien, approche qu’il paraît profitable d’explorer pour souligner que les croisements entre littérature et philosophie élargissent notre compréhension de l’écriture du quotidien.
