Abstract
La Europa rural vive momentos de extremas dificultades. Desde décadas, el campo europeo está conociendo una serie de problemas, que no han hecho más que acumularse sin propuestas serias de solución, hasta llegar a un punto crítico para la integración europea, en el que una parte de la ciudadanía se siente «abandonada» por las autoridades. Falta de transporte, falta de servicios, falta de oportunidades: nos encontramos ante una verdadera «urgencia territorial» europea, que no se puede resolver si seguimos con los mismos patrones utilizando durante los últimos años. El mundo rural necesita una acción decidida y efectiva, en el que los políticos vayan cumpliendo con sus promesas para devolver al campo sus letras de nobleza. El futuro del proyecto europeo depende de la correcta toma en consideración de los más de 130 millones de ciudadanos
