Per più di quattro anni (2020-2024),durante la pandemia di corona virus,il Progetto PRIN2017 “Peoples of the Middle Sea. Innovation and Integration in Ancient Mediterranean”, condotto da una sessantina di ricercatori distribuiti in quattro unità di ricerca,ha perseguito l’obiettivo cardine dello studiodella formazione della civiltà Mediterranea, tra 1600 e500 a.C., dal Levante alla Penisola Iberica(fig. 1)1. Il fil rougedella ricerca è statoseguire la formazionee la diffusione delle principali invenzioni e innovazioni come elementi capaci di rivelarecontatti, scambi, contaminazioni e trasformazioni non noti o noti solo parzialmente.
