Abstract

Angka Penyakit Akibat Kerja (PAK) dari tahun ke tahun terus meningkat, salah satu PAK yang sering terjadi yaitu Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). Pekerja pemetik teh berisiko tinggi mengalami keluhan CTS akibat gerakan berulang pada bagian pergelangan tangan. Pengendalian CTS diketahui dapat dilakukan praktik konservatif untuk menurunkan keluhan subjektif diantaranya dengan active stretching dan hand exercise. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh intervensi active stretching dan hand exercise terhadap penurunan keluhan CTS. Jenis penelitian ekperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperiment, rancang bangun penelitian two group design pre and post test. Populasi dalam penelitian yaitu seluruh pekerja pemetik teh PTPN VIII Malabar unit Kertamanah berjumlah 87 orang. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 18 pekerja untuk kelompok A (intervensi active stretching) dan 18 pekerja untuk kelompok B (intervensi hand exercise), teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Pengukuran keluhan subjektif CTS menggunakan Boston Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (BCTQ). Analisi data menggunakan uji non-parametrik wilcoxon dan mann-whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada kelompok intervensi dengan active stretching, p-value 0,002 (p>0,05), dan hand exercise p-value 0,000 (p>0,05), artinya terdapat perbedaan signifikan keluhan CTS sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,001 (p>0,05), artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan penurunan keluhan CTS pada masing-masing kelompok intervensi, dengan intervensi hand exercise lebih efektif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada skor rata-rata keluhan CTS sebelum dan sesudah diberikan masing-masing perlakuan, dengan hand exercise diketahui lebih efektif untuk menurunkan keluhan CTS.
