Abstract
A síndrome do impacto no ombro (SIO) é uma condição inflamatória e degenerativa caracterizada pela compressão mecânica de estruturas no espaço umerocoracoacromial. Comumente afeta indivíduos entre 40 e 50 anos, mas também ocorre em adultos jovens devido a atividades laborais e esportivas. A SIO é a afecção mais prevalente da cintura escapular. Diagnóstico precoce e tratamento adequado são essenciais para prevenir a progressão da doença. Este estudo apresenta modelos de tratamento, destacando a fisioterapia no manejo conservador da SIO. Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura científica abrangendo livros e artigos de periódicos nacionais e internacionais. O tratamento conservador da SIO inclui analgésicos, anti-inflamatórios e fisioterapia, sendo esta última crucial para a recuperação funcional. A fisioterapia não apenas alivia a dor e melhora a mobilidade, mas também educa os pacientes sobre posturas e atividades a serem evitadas. Técnicas como terapia manual, exercícios de fortalecimento e estabilização, e modalidades eletroterápicas têm mostrado eficácia significativa. A abordagem conservadora é amplamente utilizada e eficaz, com a fisioterapia sendo a modalidade mais indicada. A escolha do tratamento deve ser personalizada, considerando a fase da doença e a resposta do paciente. Nos casos em que o tratamento conservador não é suficiente, a cirurgia pode ser considerada. Um plano de tratamento multifacetado pode otimizar os resultados e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes com SIO.
