Abstract
C ette partie du volume 19, numéro 2 de Nouvelles perspectives en sciences sociales (NPSS) a pu voir le jour grâce à la coopération de Guy Bajoit et des organisateurs du séminaire international tenu à Lisbonne du 15 au 19 mai 2023, sur le thème : « Le processus de conceptualisation et la production de théories en sociologie ».Les organisateurs, Casimiro Balsa, Marc-Henri Soulet, Viviane Châtel et, bien entendu, Guy Bajoit ont accepté que nous publiions quelques textes tirés du séminaire, pour produire un numéro bi-thématique.Nous les en remercions.La thématique du séminaire est intéressante en elle-même.Le processus -ou la méthode -de conceptualisation et de production de théories en sociologie est une question fondamentale en sciences, que celles-ci soient dites « dures » ou « molles » dans une typologie « paresseuse », selon un terme employé par Michel Messu.L'invitation de Bajoit, adressée aux sociologues, à pratiquer la sociologie comme un sport de combat, à s'engager en « montant sur le balcon », au risque que celui-ci s'écroule, conduit à une
