Abstract
This chapter details the cultural significance of the land and sovereignty to Indigenous Peoples living in Saskatchewan, Canada. This includes the importance of the land through an Indigenous cultural lens and the importance of the land to traditional Indigenous food sustenance practices such as hunting, medicine picking, and small-scale agriculture. Furthermore, this chapter discusses how these factors are relevant to Indigenous land sovereignty and rights and calls to action that must be taken for Indigenous food sovereignty and reconciliation.
