Abstract
Cet article examine la manière dont le contexte écologique et politique actuel (mondial et local) influence la légitimité des revendications autonomistes provenant de nations internes. Cette réflexion s’appuie sur une analyse normative du débat entourant la protection du caribou forestier au Québec en 2022 et 2023. Cette étude consiste en un examen des modalités de l’exercice des prérogatives québécoises en matière de politiques environnementales, en analysant notamment les relations entre le gouvernement fédéral, le gouvernement provincial québécois et les nations autochtones dont le territoire traditionnel se situe dans la province.
