La violencia contra las mujeres se ha convertido en una temática central en la literatura latinoamericana del siglo XXI. Entre todas las manifestaciones de esa violencia, la más grave es el feminicidio. En este artículo se hará una breve revisión de este término para posteriormente abordar cuatro obras literarias cuyo tema central son los feminicidios, privados o públicos. Se trata de la crónica argentina Chicas muertas; la novela chilena Racimo y las crónicas mexicanas La fosa del agua y El invencible verano de Liliana, todas publicadas en el siglo XXI. Se recurrirá a la geocrítica como herramienta de análisis para entender la relación entre violencia, mujeres y espacio.
