Abstract
The article examines the problem of illegal migration on the US-Canadian border. The article presents the ethnic composition of asylum seekers and popular places for illegal crossings. The article reveals causes of illegal migration. It has been established that the additional protocol to the Safe Third Country Agreement is an effective measure to combat illegal migration, but only for Canada. The article proposes measures that could potentially solve the illegal migration problem.
